About-Us

New Alipore College started its journey on 5th August 1963 as a Government Sponsored Co-educational Degree College affiliated to university of Kolkata. During its eventful existence the college played an important role in advancement of learning its academic and extra-curricular facilities to the students of south Kolkata and adjacent areas of Behala,Batanagar, Budge-Budge extending to Diamond Harbor.


The mission of the College is to impart quality education to its student. Conscious efforts are also taken to make students aware of social responsibilities.


Location

New Alipore College is situated by the side of Durgapur Bridge and New-Alipore railway station ,and is well connected by surface railway(Sealdah-Budge Budge Section),Metro Railway(Rabindra Sarobar & Kailghat station) and road transport served by the bus route No. 7,14,18,18B,SD-4,SD-5,1B,Jadavpur-Purbanchal Mini etc.

Admission Procedure

The process of admission to 1st year class starts every year after the publication of the result of higher secondary examination in West Bengal. Candidates are required to apply in the prescribed forms which may be obtained with Prospectus from the college office on payment of necessary fees and on fulfillment of eligibility criteria, to be notified by the principal.

A candidate may apply for more than one Honors subject in separate application form for each, but need not purchase more than prospectus. Original mark sheet and Admit Card of the immediately preceding qualifying examination are to be produced to get application form and prospectus.

Marks obtained in top four subjects in the immediately preceding qualifying examination shall be considered to ascertain in the aggregate marks of a candidate passing the examination under grade system.

Also for candidates passing the H.S (10+2) Examination from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education under Old System, marks obtained in top five subjects shall be considered to determine their aggregate marks.
